1. Prepare for the unexpected.
Accidents happen! Health insurance provides coverage for the unexpected, from minor illnesses to emergencies.
2. Get help with the costs.
Health insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company. You buy a plan, and the company agrees to pay part of your medical costs when you get sick or hurt.
3. You can finally go to the doctor. (You know you should!)
You can get preventive care, like wellness visits and flu shots, for free. Plus, health plans through Maryland Health Connection cover essential health benefits such as doctor visits, hospitalizations and prescriptions.
4. We have free or low-cost options.
When you apply through Maryland Health Connection, you’ll find out if you can get financial help to lower the cost of health insurance. Last year, nine out of 10 people did!
